During our research we found that the majority of magazines currently circulating which are dedicated to the film industry rarely feature films in them which are of the romantic comedy genre.
Magazines like 'Total Film' and 'Empire' often feature film of the action or thriller genre.
One of the covers that I did find was for the film 'Mr & Mrs. Smith' in Entertainment magazine. Both of the main characters are on the front cover and are also on a white background. The colour of the font is black, but also red, which is a stereoptypical colour which implies romance.
The second cover that I found was for the film 'Knight and Day' in Total Film. Again, both of the main characters are on the front of the magazine, and the main colours are red and white which imply romance. But the fire in the background of the image implys that there is an action element to the film.
From our research into the magazine covers for romantic comedies we have decided that our magazine cover will have a white background and have a photograph of our main characters on the front as planned. For the font we will have to use colours with romantic implications such as pinks and reds and whites. We will need stories on the cover which will attract the reader to the magazine and perhaps quotes from the actors.
