Editing

Now that we are back at school we have begun editing the photographs that we took on the last week of term of our main characters for our poster and magazine cover.
We are using photoshop to edit these images. We have researched into other rom-com posters and have found that they have a few stereotypical elements to them. One major element is that rom-com posters contain a white background. To achieve this with our own photographs we have to cut out the background of the image and give it a plain white background. By having a plain white background it maintains the focus on the characters and also allows up to put text on the image without it becoming too cluttered or busy.
We sent the edited photographs over to the other computer so that we could put the images with the poster and the magazine template that had been created.
We are now in the process of creating drafts for our magazine cover and poster.

This is the first draft of our magazine cover. We used the generic white background and tried to keep it as simple as possible. I think that we need to work on the fonts and colours used, and also on the captions which we have used.

  1. I agree, you need to change some of the fonts, but it's a good first draft!
